THE YARD

Description

The kitchen utensil hanger shown in the photograph was made from an old  steel chandelier and a kitchen dining chair that we cut up.  The hanging chains were used to secure loads on lorries.

The utensils are held onto the piece by a mixture of hooks and strong magnets.

From start to finish, the piece took about 12 hours to complete.

Also, we built the kitchen in the background from 85% recycled materials – this reduced the costs of the whole kitchen by 20%
